  • A variety of learning methods
  • Indoor/Outdoor playgrounds
  • Low student-teacher ratio

Enrollment Procedures

By the blessing of God, the ELC has enjoyed significant growth over the past several years. More and more parents are recognizing the need for quality education in a warm, nurturing, Christian environment. As a result of this growth, we have established the following guidelines for our enrollment procedures:

  • Parents enrolling their children will not be allowed to enroll until their specific registration period opens. No preference will be given to enrollment forms delivered in advance of this time period.
  • Registration opens March 3 for all the following three groups. All parents inquiring about enrollment need to be aware of the following enrollment priorities:
    1. First priority will be given to members of Broadway United Methodist Church, since this program is operated as a ministry of the church. Members must register their children by March 14.
    2. Second priority will be given to present students. This group also has a March 14 deadline for registering. A pre-registration packet will be sent home with each child the last week of February.
    3. Third priority will be given to brothers and sisters of enrolled children. This group also must be registered by March 14.
  • General Registration opens March 17.

Admissions Policy

  • To enter the Four Year Old preschool class, a child must be at least four years old by October 1 of the current school year.
  • To enter the Three Year Old preschool class, a child must at least three years old by October 1 of the current school year and be potty-trained, wearing regular undergarments (no pull-ups).

No child will be denied entrance into Broadway's children's programs on the basis of race, gender, or creed. However we reserve the right to refuse admission to, or request the withdrawal of, any child whose conduct, influence, attendance, or progress is regarded as undesirable or unsatisfactory, or, who fails to conform to the rules and regulations of the ELC.

Calendar

The weekday children's programs at Broadway United Methodist Church follow the Warren County Public School calendar. When Warren County schools are closed due to poor weather, we are also closed. When the Warren county schools run on a delayed schedule, we open our doors at our regular time, 9AM. If Warren County schools dismiss their classes early, we still dismiss our classes at the regular time. If parents are concerned about road conditions, they are welcome to pick up their children early on those days. We make up snow days as the county does and our last day of session is determined by their schedule. Tune in to our local TV station, WBKO, or log onto their web site for the Polar Report for more information about school closures or other weather-related scheduling changes.

We reserve the right to make modifications to this schedule when needed, to make accommodations for church activities, or to enhance the weekday programming.

ELC Testimonials

Early Learning Center Parent Testimonials

"My family and I continue to be blessed by the Early Learning Center. My oldest daughter started at ELC at the age of two, soon after we moved to town. We were looking for a safe place where my daughter could learn and grow, both spiritually and academically. Broadway's ELC program was repeatedly recommended to us. Not only did my daughter find a warm and and welcoming learning environment, my family was also nurtured by the other families and the staff at ELC. My second daughter has attended ELC since she was an infant and we are certain she will receive the same solid foundation of faith and academics that continue to help our eldest daughter thrive."

- Todd

"Over the past 7 years our family has participated in Broadway's ELC. The program allows me to run errands, attend personal appointments, and maintain friendships. I have been impressed with the fun-loving environment and quality teaching staff. ELC is a wonderful stepping stone in my child's educational, spiritual, and social development. My husband and I are extremely pleased with their program."

- Jeanie

"Broadway's ELC exceeded our expectations educationally and spiritually. It is a fun and thorough preparation for kindergarten. The staff was wonderful in showing the love of Jesus to my Children"
