Enrollment Procedures

By the blessing of God, the ELC has enjoyed significant growth over the past several years. More and more parents are recognizing the need for quality education in a warm, nurturing, Christian environment. Registration for the program begins in March each year. Applications can be picked up in the ELC office. First priority will be given to members of Broadway United Methodist Church, since this program is operated as a ministry of the church. Second priority will be given to present students. Registration packets will be sent home with each child the last week of February. Third priority will be given to siblings of enrolled students. Fourth priority is given to all other potential new students.

Admissions Policy

  • To enter the Four Year Old preschool class, a child must be at least four years old by October 1 of the current school year.
  • To enter the Three Year Old preschool class, a child must at least three years old by October 1 of the current school year and be potty-trained, wearing regular undergarments (no pull-ups).
  • To enter the Toddler preschool class, a child must be walking independently.

No child will be denied entrance into Broadway's children's programs on the basis of race, gender, or creed. However we reserve the right to refuse admission to, or request the withdrawal of, any child whose conduct, influence, attendance, or progress is regarded as undesirable or unsatisfactory, or, who fails to conform to the rules and regulations of the ELC.

School Calendar

The weekday children's programs at Broadway United Methodist Church follow the Warren County Public School calendar. When Warren County schools are closed due to poor weather, we are also closed. When the Warren County schools run on a delayed schedule, we open our doors at our regular time (9 am). If Warren County schools dismiss their classes early, we still dismiss our classes at the regular time (1 pm). If parents are concerned about road conditions, they are welcome to pick up their children early on those days. We make up snow days as the county does and our last day of session is typically determined by their schedule. Tune in to our local TV station, WBKO, or log onto their web site for the Polar Report for more information about school closures or other weather-related scheduling changes. We reserve the right to make modifications to this schedule when needed, to make accommodations for church activities, or to enhance the weekday programming.

ELC Parent Testimonials

Early Learning Center Parent Testimonials

“Over the past three years, my husband and I continue to be amazed by the spiritual and educational growth of our daughter from attending the Early Learning Center. One of my favorite things is when she comes home with new songs to teach me. She has so much fun learning and making friends. Everyone within the ELC staff has always been nurturing, caring, and loving. We definitely feel the Lord has blessed our family by being a part of ELC. As a family, we believe we have made a wise choice by sending her to Broadway United Methodist Church Early Learning Center.”

-Meredith

“My son started ELC when he was 10 months old and is now enrolled in the 4-year-old preschool program. My husband and I did not have a church home at that time, but soon began attending the service at Broadway and felt right at home. We have been church members for about 3 years now and have truly been blessed with Broadway and the ELC program. I cannot say enough about the teachers and staff and how much they truly love and care for my child. The Early Learning Center has been a great stepping stone in our son's educational, spiritual, and social development. We plan to enroll our daughter in ELC and we are confident that she too will have a wonderful experience.”

-Shelly

"My family and I continue to be blessed by the Early Learning Center. My oldest daughter started at ELC at the age of two, soon after we moved to town. We were looking for a safe place where my daughter could learn and grow, both spiritually and academically. Broadway's ELC program was repeatedly recommended to us. Not only did my daughter find a warm and and welcoming learning environment, my family was also nurtured by the other families and the staff at ELC. My second daughter has attended ELC since she was an infant and we are certain she will receive the same solid foundation of faith and academics that continue to help our eldest daughter thrive."
