Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of
the least of these who are
members of my family, you did it to me. Mathew 25:40
Congregational Care Ministry responds to the special
needs and concerns of members at Broadway United Methodist Church. It
is the church in action-touching peoples lives.
Our purpose is:
- To offer Christs love and care in times of stress and crisis.
- To reach out to those who are alone and lonely.
- To be present with prayer and praise when needed.
How we do this:
- Personal visits to those who are homebound or in Nursing Homes.
- Visit those hospitalized.
- Send cards of sympathy, cheer, and understanding as appropriate, including
birthdays and holidays.
- Provide a meal for family and friends following a Funeral or Memorial
Service.
- Develop a prayer list of those requesting prayer during a time of
need.
- Provide a Worship Service at Bowling Green Retirement Village once
a month.
- Dial-a-Devotion is a short devotion, which includes a list
of those requesting prayer and support. It is updated Monday, Wednesday
and Friday and can be reached by calling 782-6146.
- E-VOTION is a weekly e-mail sent to all who have provided us with
their E-mail address.
To receive a weekly E-VOTION e-mail, volunteer, add someone to
the prayer list or for questions call Debby at 843-3942 Ext.#110 or E-mail Debby Cassetty.
By this everyone will know that
you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
